Kauri Coast TOP 10 Holiday Park is the ideal weekend getaway, stop-off point on your tour of Northland or relaxing holiday destination. The drive north from Auckland takes 2.5 hours and the town of Dargaville is only a 25min drive away.
The Day: Spend your Kauri Coast holiday relaxing and having fun in our piece of paradise. Tube down the river or swim in our swimming holes. Basketball, Petanque and Table Tennis are on offer, with free hire on all sporting equipment. There is a well equiped playground for children of all ages, and a Flying Fox for those who like a bit of excitment. Stroll around the stunning grounds or learn about our beautiful native setting by following our Nature Trail. Visit the nearby Trounson Kauri Park, take a short drive to the Kai Iwi Lakes or head north to the mighty Waipoua Forest and the Hokianga Harbour The Evening: Enjoy our fantastic covered outdoor kitchen, three BBQ areas or great indoor cooking facilities. The Night: Listen for the sound of the kiwi - join our unique Guided Kiwi Walk which leaves from the Park, and let us introduce you to the nightime sights and sounds of the Northland forest. Getting to Kauri Coast Top 10 Holiday Park
From the South Follow SH 12 for 30km north of Dargaville. Pass Kaihu, 1km past the Kaihu Tavern turn right, signed Trounson Kauri Park. The park is 2.4km on a sealed road.
From the North After Waipoua Forest Visitors Centre travel on SH 12 for another 20kms. Do not take first turn signed 'Trounson Kauri Park onto a non sealed road. Come down Kaihu Hill and turn hard left into Trounson Park Road - Road signed Trounson Kauri Park. The park is 2.4km on a sealed road. If you reach the Kaihu Tavern you have missed the turn off and will need to turn round and retrace your route by 1km.
Cancellation and Curtailment Policy
All reservations must be paid in full at the time of booking.
All cancellations must be made by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your reservation confirmation number. A 75% refund will apply to cancellations 72 hours or more before the date of arrival. No refunds will apply to cancellations within 72 hours of the date of arrival.
No refunds will be given for early departure or late arrival.
Park Direct Bookings
A booking is confirmed once the customer's verbal or written confirmation is given. An email (if the customer provides an email address) will be sent to the customer confirming the details of their booking.
A cancellation fee of $20 per site/unit applies to all cancelled bookings
Accommodation cancelled, curtailed or ammended less than 72 hours prior to arrival (1.00pm on day of arrival) will be charged for period booked and the number of guests booked for, unless the unit or site can be relet.
During Peak Booking Periods - ie Summer Holidays - Christmas - Waitangi Day, Easter and Labour Weekend minimum stays may apply and a one night non returnable deposit will be taken at the time of booking.
Balance of accounts are payable on arrival. Payment must be made for the full time booked.
No refunds will be given for early departure or late arrival.
Special Terms and Conditions may apply to group bookings. These will be confirmed in writing by the Park when the booking is made and will override our general policies.
Credit Note Terms and Conditions
where a credit is issued against a guest account the following terms and conditions will apply:
the credit can not be transfered to another person
the credit can only be redemmed against accommodation or services at Kauri Coast TOP 10 Holiday Park
Credits can not be redeemed for cash at any future date
At the discretion of management a credit note may be extended under exceptional circumstances. Any extension applications should be made in writing to email@example.com
COVID-19 BOOK WITH CONFIDENCE GUARANTEE
We understand that the relative uncertainty we are all feeling right now might have implications for your confidence to book a stay here over the next couple of months and, with that in mind, to give you confidence in booking with us, we have decided to introduce a “Book with Confidence Guarantee” applicable to all bookings made online or directly with our park.What is the Book with Confidence Guarantee?
For bookings made from7th May 2020, the Book with Confidence Guarantee is applicable if you are no longerable to traveldue to COVID-19 related developments and booked directly via www.top10.co.nz or directly with the park.
For example: you become sick with COVID-19 or someone immediately connected to you does and you are forced into self-isolation, or an Alert Level change means travel becomes impossible, or there is a Government mandate for you not to travel in your local area/region or the area you intend to travel to.
In these and other similar cases there will be no charges levied to make changes to your booking dates. We will provide a 12-month credit with no cancellation or amendment charges added. In exceptional circumstances, determined on a case by case basis, we may provide a full refund, also with no cancellation fees.
In the case of a request for a COVID-19 related amendment on personal grounds, guests may be requested to provide a medical certificate to confirm the medical grounds on which the request is based.
Your dog is welcome on this Park if you are staying on a Site, but not a Unit, Cabin or Rent A Tent, but of course there are rules in place to ensure all our guests enjoy their stay.
Your dog must not cause a nuisance to others or be aggressive towards other dogs or people
Maximum of 2 dogs per site
Please notify reception if you have a dog or other pet with you on arrival and complete a dog registration. Your dog MUST be registered at reception before entering the Park
Your dog MUST be on a lead or tied up on your site AT ALL TIMES
No pets allowed at any time in any of the building, units (including unit decks) or outdoor communal cooking and eating areas (eg the outdoor kitchen or covered eating area behind the main kitchen)
Please pick up after your dog and place in a bag or newspaper in the bins
If you leave the Park, please take your dog with you

A copy of our full policies with be provided to all guests at check in on request.
You will be required to comply with our COVID 19 policies and procedures - which will be based on MOH guidelines during your stay. Failure to comply with these policies will result in your stay being immediately curtailed with no refund.
Check in time is from 1.00pm - 8.00pm. Late check in by arrangement.
Check out time is strictly 10.00am, unless be prior arrangement with management.
Pets are welcome onsite by arrangement and subject to Park rules, providing you are staying on a site and not in a cabin or motel. No pets are allowed in buildings, units/motels or our TOP tent. See our dog policy for further information regarding staying here with your dog
Damage or loss to Kauri Coast TOP 10 property by guests will be charged and must be be paid for.
Child Age is 2-14 years old, inclusive. Children under 2 years old are classed as infants and go free.
No smoking in any building is allowed.
Cooking for more than 10 persons in the communal kitchens is prohibited without prior approval from the duty manager
When you register or give us personal information when making a reservation with us, it will be held on the TOP 10 Holiday Park Group central database. Your personal details will then be able to be accessed by TOP 10 Holiday Parks Central Office and other TOP 10 Holiday Parks if you are making a reservation with them. Kauri Coast TOP 10 Holiday Parkwill not, except as required by law, share this information with any other third parties without your permission.
Is the Park pet friendly? Yes - you are welcome to bring your pet subject to our Pet Rules (See Policies).
What time is checkin and checkout? Checkin is from 1.00pm and 7.00pm and checkout is 10.00am
Do you provide bed linen? Our motels have full linen on all the beds and our units and cabins have full linen on the queen and double beds and bottom sheets and pillows on the bunks. Top bedding for the bunks can be hired from reception (these is usually no charge) subject to availability
What is Child Age? Under 2 years old is an infant, Child is 2-14 years old, 15 years and over are adults
Is there Mobile Phone Coverage on Site? There is limited coverage for Vodafone and Spark available within 20 metres of reception, provided by local mini-repeaters. There is no coverage for 2degrees, skinny or any other minor providers
Is WiFi Available on Site? Yes, we have WiFi on site, but due to the limited connectivity available to us we do not have a fibre connection, so speed will be limited if there are large numbers on site. We provide 250mbps per device per day free to everyone, and TOP 10 Members receive an additional 500mbps to share between 5 devices.
